Empowering Communities
SEV focuses on partnering with communities that have historically faced challenges in accessing opportunities within the 21st-century economy, with a particular emphasis on small rural communities.
We work closely with communities to generate much-needed revenue with minimal impact on their land. Our projects also generate much-needed tax revenues that promote the development of housing, infrastructure, and economic opportunities.
By leveraging energy produced from solar power, we can support operations such as large data centers—an essential and growing need in the U.S. Utilizing clean, renewable energy to power these data centers, local energy needs are not impacted.
Additionally, SEV empowers the communities of impactful organizations dedicated to improving the lives of sick children and their families.

At SOLink, we approach every project with the end goal of building, owning, and operating the facility for the long term. This strategy has attracted a highly respected financing partner, Excelsior Energy Capital (EEC), one of the leading financial partners in the renewable energy sector. With EEC firmly in place, we ensure that our projects are fully funded from day one, enabling us to deliver on our promises.
Our team of passionate experts brings deep knowledge and experience across every phase of solar project development, from conception to electrification. Not only does our internal team have years of experience in developing solar projects, but we also partner with the industry’s best and brightest in the areas of Engineering, Large-Scale Utility Interconnection, Development & Construction and Operations & Maintenance.
Our extensive expertise in all aspects of solar development—from site selection to interconnection to ongoing operation and maintenance—gives our project partners the confidence that their projects will be completed on time, on budget.

At SEV, we’ve spent the last three years assembling a team of world-class talent and forging strategic partnerships to deliver on our commitment to sustainable energy solutions. Our mission-driven approach has attracted top professionals from both within and outside the solar industry. Our experts in solar development, engineering, and utility-scale interconnection are not only passionate about our mission but are also dedicated to delivering projects on time and on budget.
Our team boasts over 30 years of experience in utility-scale solar, having developed more than 50 projects representing 2.5GW of power. The Stellavise solar engineering team, known for engineering hundreds of solar projects in the U.S., plays a critical role in our success. Our interconnection specialist, Jack McDermott, brings over 25 years of experience with California’s PG&E, one of the nation’s largest utilities. Cleantech Industry Resources is the leader in development logistics and has helped develop over 1000 renewable energy projects across the United States.
Leading our team is CEO Jon Schwartz, who brings 25+ years of business leadership from ADP, where he worked with Fortune 50 companies to help them achieve greater success. Our Chief Branding Officer, Doug McCorkle, adds 25+ years of marketing expertise from his time at industry-leading companies such as Marriott and Fairmont. Jon and Doug bring years of industry experience having launched Painted Desert Energy and successfully developed over 700MW of solar projects.

While our projects have strong economic benefits, financial return is not our sole focus. Why are we called SOLink Energy Ventures?
SOL is Latin for Sun, and we are linking the Sun to our clean energy future. The images you see here are of the Maroon Bells, just outside of Aspen Colorado, and Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada. Members of our team have visited these places many times and they are truly awe-inspiring! These are some of the most picturesque…and photographed…places on the North American continent. These are the types of places, and many more just like them all over the world, that we are seeking to save for future generations.
